Nick Liebenberg has a business administration background from Wits Business School and is a founding member of Laeveld Agrochem. Nick is the Chief Executive Officer with over 47 years’ experience in the crop industry. He spent twenty years of his career with Bayer Crop Science on a national basis, of which the last years as commercial manager of Bayer South Africa (sales and marketing).
As a director, Corné Liebenberg holds a BCom Honours degree in Marketing from the University of Pretoria and is a founding member of Laeveld Agrochem. As a director Corné aims to keep Laeveld Agrochem a market leader with unique innovations, products and new technology to exceed clients’ expectations.
Liezel Allers is a Director and Human Resources Manager at Laeveld Agrochem (LAC). She has been involved at LAC for the past 30 years. As Personnel Head, she is responsible for all appointments, reviewing employee benefits and optimising the growth potential of employees. Liezel also serves as chairman of the following committees: Social & Ethics Committee, Remuneration Committee and Employment Equity Committee.
Chris Thompson studied for a BSc Agriculture degree from Pietermaritzburg University. He spent 17 years with Bayer in R&D, technical, marketing and commercial functions. He joined LAC in 2004 and his current roles are Technical Manager for Crop Protection and Market Development in the Northern area of RSA.
Phillip Venter obtained a Masters degree in sustainable agriculture from the University of the Free State. He has been playing the role of Plant Nutrition Manager at Lowveld Agrochem since 2013. His focus is to make services and products available through the LAC channel, to help everyone in the value chain to be more sustainable. Portfolio growth and holistic solutions that are more environmentally friendly, socially acceptable and profitable are sought.
