These packs come in two versions, one for summer and one for winter, and include everything you need: plant spacing ropes, fertilizer, enough seeds to produce about 100 kilograms of healthy vegetables, and a comprehensive step-by-step guide to walk you through the process. All you require from your end is a space of about 3×5 meters (15 square meters) and, of course, a water source.
Inspired by the success of the veggie starter packs, AgricultSURE and Laeveld Agrochem have gone a step further by launching the small farmer starter pack. This remarkable package is set to empower smallholder farmers a small piece of land to produce vegetables on a notable scale.
The small farmer starter pack is an all-in-one solution that can be used as modular units. It includes an erectable tank with a palette that can be configured to create a niche farm of 500 or 1 000 square meters. Additionally, it also has a solar-powered pump connected to a drip irrigation system, a solar rechargeable backpack sprayer, and other essentials. Essentially, it’s a complete farming unit, with all the necessary items included, and it’s compact enough to fit in the back of a bakkie. Think of it as a plug-and-play micro-farm, making farming more accessible and convenient than ever.
