Mrs. Sophy Sono’s inspiring home garden in Mokopane

Mrs. Sophy Sono is one of the outstanding beneficiaries of the 300-household Livelihood Restoration Program in the Mokopane region. With passion and thoughtful planning, she has transformed her vegetable garden into a source of pride and inspiration in her community.

Using the AgricultSURE Winter Home Garden Starter Pack, Mrs. Sono propagated her own seedlings and applied a clever six-week staggered planting method. This ensures a steady supply of fresh, nutritious vegetables all year round. With guidance from the AgricultSURE team, her garden now produces winter staples like radish, turnips, kale, beetroot, and carrots, perfect for warm, hearty meals in the colder months.

AgricultSURE is part of LAC Cares, a Laeveld Agrochem initiative committed to supporting resilient and sustainable livelihoods.
