The importance of soybean inoculants (MBFi)
Soybean inoculants are essential agricultural products containing beneficial Rhizobium spp. bacteria that colonise soybean roots and enable atmospheric nitrogen to be converted into a usable form. Without inoculants, soybeans rely heavily on soil nitrogen, often insufficient or costly, leading to stunted growth and lower yields. By enhancing nitrogen availability, inoculants promote healthier plants, higher yields and more sustainable farming practices.
